History:

In 1846 the Companhia de Fiação e Tecidos Lisbonense, one of Lisbon's most important industrial complexes, established itself in Alcântara. This 23,000m2 industrial area was subsequently occupied by Companhia Industrial de Portugal e Colónias, Anuário Comercial de Portugal printing house, and Gráfica Mirandela. In 2005, Mainsite, a real estate company, decided to buy and revitalize the place, which was reborn in 2008 as a "factory" of creativity and experiences. The industrial spaces were preserved and companies from the arts sector were invited, later bringing shops, cafés, and restaurants. With around 50 shops from diverse brands and types, LX Factory Lisbon became a meeting point for shopping and leisure.
